6th Nov - Winter Coats Print E-mail

Well it's that time of the year again, when the weather gets cold and the older dogs find it harder to keep warm. So it's coat time!!

Dogs that have a thin coat or dogs that have been quite tightly clipped all get coats, and most of them love them.

Here's Walter sporting the first of his jumper collection, he adores having his jumper put on. Due to a hormone condition he has very little hair on his back and sides so appreciates the help against the cold.

This is Tilly's first winter with us, because of her age and tight coat she gets a fleece lined waterproof coat. Somehow she occasionally manages to get her legs out the neck so we always keep an eye on her!

Normally George isn't too fond of the coats, we always try to put one on him anyway in case he leaves it on and this year he hasn't objected at all! maybe we needed to find the right coat for him, this little black number seems to suit him!

When Gizmo came into us he had a thick coat of matts so they had to be shaved off. His coat is now really tight and he isnt used to not having his fur to keep warm so we found this green and orange one for him. He's quite happy now!

Jean Brody also has a coat on, but unfortunatly is really camera conscious and wouldnt let me take a picture of her in her fleece lined denim coat, so you'll just have to imagine how pretty she looks!
