These are all the dogs we currently have for adoption in the sanctuary. Click on a dog that interests you for more details. Pay particular attention to what household a particular dog would suit - a collie may look very pretty but they need at least 6 miles of walking a day so if you don't have an active household they are not an ideal dog! We have over 20 years of experience rehoming dogs here at Dogs Aid so don't be afraid to ask for advice on what sort of dog would suit you. All dogs need sufficient exercise You need to be prepared to bring them to the vet Dogs need to be groomed, have their nails trimmed and teeth maintained Your dogs need to be fed a good-quality dog food and not scraps Obedience classes will be a huge benefit to all dogs and strenghten your bond Dogs Aid policies- We conduct a home check on everyone wanting to adopt one of our dogs, this is to make sure there is a secure garden and that all the household is prepared for a dog.
- We only give out small puppies to families with young children, we often don't have any history on our adult dogs so can't guarantee them with children.
- We don't give dogs to people who are in private rented accommodation, landlords are within their rights to change their mind about pets without notice.
- We ask a minimum donation of €80 for a dog, this goes towards, but doesn't cover, the cost of their microchip, neuter operation and vaccinations.

Breed - Boxer x akita Age - 2 years Sex - Male Jake can be a little shy to start but very quickly warms up and wants cuddles. He hasn't been inside a house much so will need someone with patience to teach him inside manners. As soon as he has the buster collar off we'll get better photos of him up. Suits - House with patience

Breed - Terrier x Age - 5 years old Sex - Male Freddie would make an ideal companion for someone living on their own. He gets on well enough with the other dogs but can be a bit bossy so would prefer to be the only dog in the household. He's affectionate and loves a cuddle. Suits - Single person house

Breed - Collie x Age - 5 years old Sex - Male Jasper hasn't spent alot of time with dogs or people so is a little shy. He's getting used to the hussle and bustle of the sanctuary and is looking for a home who will be able to continue socialising him to the world. Suits - House with patience

Breed - Pom x Age - 1 year old Sex - Male Sam is a lively boy who enjoys people. He's very friendly and gets on well with other dogs. He hasn't had any training so will need all basic obedience. Suits - Any household

Breed - Terrier x Age - 1 year Sex - Female Jessie is an affectionate and lively girl. She enjoys the company of people and the other dogs. She would be an ideal dog for someone who wanted to try their hand at agility. Suits - Active household
